MA in Public Relations at Hofstra University via Kara Alaimo
If you are thinking about graduate school, there are still spots open to start in Hofstra University's new online Master of Arts in Public Relations program with a Concentration in Reputation and Crisis Management this fall (the first course starts September 1).
The program covers the full range of public relations, with a concentration designed to prepare professionals to handle the new/heightened challenges that have emerged in recent years, including the speed at which we must respond to crises on social media, fake news, Twitter wars, the new expectation that businesses should articulate political stances, and employee/endorser backlash for those stances.
The program is designed for working professionals. Students take one course at a time and complete the program in two years. All lectures are professionally produced, so it's a program of very high quality. The courses are run asynchronously so there are not specific times when students must be online -- instead students watch lectures, participate in discussions, do readings and complete assignments before deadlines set well in advance.
