In this newsletter I share curated articles and links to conferences, books, training, podcasts and reports related to Public Relations. I do this twice a week, mostly on Tuesday and Friday.

European Communication Monitor via Ralph Tench & Ansgar Zerfass
The European Communication Monitor is the largest transnational study on strategic communication worldwide. It has been conducted annually since 2007 with more than 30,000 participating communication professionals.
Similiar surveys have been initiated in Asia-Pacific, Latin America and North America. The Global Communication Monitor series covers more than 80 countries. More than 6,000 practitioners working in communication departments of companies, non-profits, governmental organisations and agencies are surveyed in each wave of the comparative study.
Living up to highest academic standards, this study is run by a network of leading research universities organised by the European Public Relations Education and Research Association (EUPRERA) and the European Association of Communication Directors (EACD), supported by Cision Insights and Fink & Fuchs.
Rhetoric and frame analysis of ExxonMobil's climate change communications
A dominant public narrative about climate change is that âwe are all to blame.â Another is that society must inevitably rely on fossil fuels for the foreseeable future. How did these become conventional wisdom? We show that one source of these arguments is fossil fuel industry propaganda. ExxonMobil advertisements worked to shift responsibility for global warming away from the fossil fuel industry and onto consumers.
